My Gluten Free World

IMG_1341 My Gluten Free World is all about sharing my experiences as a gluten free traveler. Whenever I travel, I always look up GF options that town, country or city might have for me to try. Through this research I have found countless amazing, delicious places. I have eaten traditional Czech dumplings in Prague. Scones with jam and cream in front of Shakespeare’s childhood home. Pizza while skiing in the Canadian Rockies. Scrumptious pastries in Paris (see picture). And Mac & Cheese in New York. Many of these places are solely there for people like me. People like you. The world is really starting to understand that a GF diet is not some fad. When I travel, I appreciate that others are going out of their way to provide tasty things for us GFers to eat. I want to support them when I travel. I will go out of my way to find these places if I have to, traipsing across the city with my poor husband in tow. But for me it is part of the experience and the adventure. And I want to share this with you.

I also hope to share with you my travel adventures. I love the world. I love seeing different cultures and different places in different seasons. It reminds me that we are not alone. There is so much beauty to be seen. Some places I have enjoyed more than others, and I am honest in that. But mostly, the world captivates me.

I must put a disclaimer here. I am gluten intolerant and not celiac. Therefore I cannot vouch for every kitchen I have been to and their cross contamination practices. So if you are celiac, please make sure you check and confirm it is suitable for you. In saying this, many places I venture to are completely GF. So you can rest assured that these places will definitely be safe.

There is a whole world of gluten free deliciousness out there and it is only getting bigger and tastier. It is true that there are some places that are hit and miss and that not everyone enjoys the same things. But I promise I have tried to give you the best options to hopefully encourage you to dive into the gluten free world head first and explore, eat and most importantly, enjoy!
